contigo's new sister restaurant on east 6th opened a little over a week ago focusing on primarily vegetable dishes as well as beer and wine. the intimate interior was so different from what we usually see in austin – it was so crips and refreshing. the food was unique and delicious (go in a group so you can try everything). according to the gentlemen in our party the beer was rather good, too. i think this place will do just fine – i look forward to going back.

jacoby's restaurant & mercantile recently opened over on east cesar chavez {an area that's in the midst of blowing up}. everything about it was extremely pleasant – the cocktails were unique, the food was tasty, and the patio was killer overlooking rolling hills, cliffs, and the back end of the colorado river. we sat cozied up watching the storm roll in as we shared dish after dish.

afterwards we browsed the mercantile which sells a mix of artisan foods, vintage + modern gems, and unique one of a kind items. i happily went home with a pine tree smelling candle that i now burn nightly. i'll be back here for sure.

up on a sketchy side street off manor road is a little food truck + bar combo that is so delicious and perfect. the live music and festive decor makes for such a fun atmosphere to enjoy some of the best italian food in austin – we ordered two simple pastas, meatballs, the house salad, and garlic bread – and of course left feeling plump and happy. we loved it so much that we're going back tonight with some friends – i highly recommend! cheers.
